Re-skinning a Plow
FAQ
First of all, we are constantly asked if we sell and ship skins. We do NOT. We re-skin plows here in our shop only.
We do sell all of the other parts of the Moldboard in our Online Store though, Ribs, Pivot Tubes, Shoe Brackets, etc.
Next is "How much is it going to cost?" Well that does vary.
IF you bring us JUST the Moldboard (which we prefer) with no black iron (A Frame or Sector) on it, then:
Re-skin ST-78 (6.5'), ST-7, ST-7.5 (ST-90) = $350. This does NOT include painting the Moldboard.
Painting (over existing paint on ribs and frame) the Moldboard = $200
So if you brought us one of the above Moldboards and wanted it re-skinned and painted, it would be $550. This does not include and repairs to the frame such as Pivot Tubes that need to be replaced, or a worn cutting edge that you want replaced.
Re-skin a C-8 Moldboard = $650 There is a lot more work involved doing a C Series. Again, this is just the Moldboard brought to us, with no black iron attached. This is unpainted. This does not include Pivot Tube repairs/replacement or removing seized Pivot Pins.
Painting (over existing paint on ribs and frame) the Moldboard = $200
Any work involving us removing the A Frame and Sector is billed hourly, any necessary parts are extra as well.
So if you wanted us to re-skin your C-8 Moldboard, and paint it, the price would be $950.
Here are some examples of re-skinning we have done:
